Sustainability Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

We’re looking for a Sustainability Manager to join a public sector business. As Sustainability Manager you must have an understanding procurement, be confident engaging with stakeholders, and drive ethical and sustainable procurement.

-Fixed term contract of around 8 months.

-Role can be based out of Chester or Leeds.

-Hybrid working.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Driving the ethical and sustainable procurement agenda.

• Working with a variety of stakeholders to establish and deliver the Sustainability strategies.

• Collaborating with the procurement teams and suppliers, identify projects and initiatives that are aligned to the company’s mutual sustainability objectives that can be jointly delivered.

• Working with the quality assurance and regulatory compliance team.

• Manage and mitigate sustainable and ethical procurement risks.

• Develop and manage a network of key/influential stakeholders relevant to sustainability.

About you:

• Excellent knowledge of sustainability and ethical issues for procurement function.

• Knowledge of working with and/or implementing Environmental Management Systems.

• Procurement knowledge and Experience.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working in the public sector.
