Be part of Gold Medal Travel- a business that has been sending people on fantastic holidays all over the world for over 40 years, last year alone they booked over 300,000 customers on flights to destinations from Australia to Zambia.

Encompassing multiple travel brands they are at an exciting stage in their development and are looking new travel sales consultants to join their busy sales centre.

Position: Travel Sales Consultant
Location: Preston
Salary: Basic £26,000+ uncapped commission (OTE £16,224 )

ROLE:
This role is based at our Preston Sales Centre selling Gold Medal Travel, and Netflights Retail. The role of a Travel Sales Consultant is to go above and beyond all customer expectations on both the sales and service aspect of customer interaction, whilst maximising all sales opportunities. The sales centre is open 7 days a week and our full time consultants work 40 hours over 5 days, between 8am and 10pm. We also have part-time hours available to cover evenings and weekends (3 evenings per week to 10pm) and 1 weekend day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Answering calls in a professional and timely manner and in line with company procedures
b) Delivering outstanding customer service on every call
c) Delivering required conversions
d) Maximising all sales opportunities
e) Maximising all ancillary sales opportunities. E.g. transfers, days tours, car rental
f) Minimising losses and errors within the business
g) Always going the extra mile for every customer
h) Following up on customer enquiries
i) Communicate effectively with customers, internal and external

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous sales experience within a target driven environment
b) Previous experience working in a customer driven environment
c) Educated to GCSE/O’Level standards or equivalent
d) Computer literate
e) Attention to detail
f) Excellent communication and negotiation skills
g) Self motivated
h) Numerate

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) To have travelled outside of Europe
b) Knowledge of travel related systems
c) Flexible approach
d) Previous travel industry experience
