Hours: 4 Night Shifts per Week – Monday to Thursday, 9pm till 7am.

Location: Commutable from Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

This is a permanent Night Shift Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter position and working 4 night shifts per week, Monday to Thursday, 9pm till 7am.

Your role will include:

Production will not running so your primary role will be to plan and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery, including crushing, extruders, robotics, packaging, conveyors, mixers, driers machinery.

The idea is for this person to grow and help be the driving force for engineering night shift. More specifically with the coordination and completing PPM’s, completing paperwork and risk assessments and ensure daily/weekly/monthly milestone have been met.

You will also be responsible for switching on production machinery and handing over to day-shift at 7am.

The machinery will be made up and you will deal with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.

Requirements

Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications

Experience with mechanical fitting work, within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment

Machinery maintenance experience

Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding would be desirable – training and support can be given on some areas

Computer literate

Drive to learn and grow

Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in

Friendly and adaptable working attitude
