Our client is a large multinational engineering company with a vast portfolio of projects in the Process & Energy sectors, with a particular emphasis on Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects. We currently have a long term contract requirement for a Senior Process Engineer to work at our client’s office in Teesside.

The Role
We require a Senior Process Engineer to act as the first point of contact for Process Engineering matters for a new LNG plant FEED. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Undertake Process engineering desk work with a true regard to safety, in compliance to codes and standards and in line with the Process QA manual.
– Process scope of work (SoW) must be written and agreed and must clearly state the workscope, manhour budget and schedule to complete the work.
– Estimate Process manhours for any job using the current Process manhour norms.
– Innovative design work, minimising costs whilst maintaining technical integrity within the estimated man hour budget and within schedule, raising change documentation where necessary.
– Liaise with client, vendors and outside parties in a professional manner.
– Keep all process documentation in a state of readiness for audit purposes.
– Assist in recruitment and development of Process Engineers.

Candidate
The candidate will be a Senior Process Engineer with previous LNG, LPG or Upstream Oil and Gas experience. It is preferred that the candidate has a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) or equivalent and is Chartered or a Member of an appropriate engineering institute. The Senior Process Engineer will have solid process engineering experience in design/operations support with FEED and detailed design in the Oil & Gas industry. Experience in the development of process flow diagrams, heat and mass balances and piping and compressors, heat exchangers and terminal infrastructure is required. The candidate should have a good working knowledge of the codes and standards relating to the oil and gas industry, particularly API recommended practices and ASMR/ANSI pipe and pressure vessel codes. Good computer skills and knowledge of the process simulation packages such as HYSYS and PRO/11 is essential, as is good report writing skills.
