Medical Workshop Engineer

Impact Recruitment are hiring for one of our premium clients, the role of Workshop Engineer will begin as the first few months covering introductions, internal training, and an external 3-day training course held onsite. After which you will proceed to work at the engineering desk within the workshop.

Job Description:

The Workshop Engineer will deal with the engineering processes. Medical equipment will be brought on a trolley for assessment where you will be checking for damages, failures, parts which need replacing, completing cosmetic work, carrying out maintenance work and rectifying issues to strict set standards and procedures. The medical device will need to obtain a 100% pass Quality Control check before being sent back to the engineer for device packing and distribution.

Package:

Salary: £36,000

Location: Northampton

Shift: Monday – Friday | 9am – 5pm

Role Responsibilities:

Inspect, install, service and maintain products in the workshop
Establish / Maintain communication & partnership with team members
Establish / Maintain communication & partnership with customers and business contacts (where applicable)
Ensure all activities are performed following the available instructions within the quality system framework
Report all relevant service activity, to ensure updated and accurate service data in the service system

Skills / Experience:

Electronics ONC/HNC Qualification or equivalent
Experience with medical instrumentation or electro-mechanic devices
Experience abiding to procedures in a Quality Systems Manual
