AutoCAD Operator / Draftsperson

We are happy to be working with our client who is mechanical and electrical services contractor established in 1985, with unrivalled expertise and a unique professional approach. This client works mainly in the commercial fit-out and refurbishment sectors, with a mechanical and electrical project portfolio spanning many industries. It includes everything from high profile headquarters and healthcare premises, to warehouse facilities and full production machine shops.

Due to continual growth they are now looking for a CAD Operator/Draftsperson to join their team.

Main Purpose:
-Produce mechanical and electrical CAD drawings.
-Support the Project Managers with the creation of project paperwork to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties:
-To produce CAD drawings form mark up’s quickly and accurately. To ensure the customer receives the correct documents in a timely manner, in order for our client to fulfil their contract and receive prompt payment.
-Creating/adapting CAD drawings generally from mark up’s produced by project managers/designers using AutoCAD
-Compiling/collating O&M’s for projects (using information supplied by PM’s) and issuing them to the customer
-Generating company standard project certification for finished projects (using data supplied by PM’s and engineers) and issuing them to the customer

Skills/Attributes Required:
Knowledge/experience of M&E industry is important
Able to prioritise workload and work unsupervised.
Excellent attention to detail, high level of accuracy and consistency, effective research and document control capabilities.
ADDITIONAL: Some mechanical design capability.

Education/Experience Required:
AutoCAD, Intermediate Microsoft office skills. Able to create and maintain tracking/records processes. Knowledge of similar industry documents is desirable (O&M, etc.)
