Production Operatives / Abergavenny / Food Sector

Smart Solutions Recruitment are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s largest suppliers of food products to the retail and food sector. They are currently seeking production operatives for the delivery of quality fresh and convenience food solutions to the UK retail and food service sectors every day. We are looking for a target driven self-starter who has a background in food production, however this is not essential. The rates of pay vary depending on the hours worked and the shift pattern requested by the client by will be between £26,000 and £26,000 per year.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

– Working to the clients highest standards in respect of food production
– Various duties based on the clients request
– Flexibility in respect of availability to work within various departments
– Working under the clients guidance and direction
– Working to the highest levels of health, safety and food hygiene

Skills and experience include:

– Experience of working in a food production target driven environment would be an advantage but is not essential
– Understanding of the clients needs and demands due to the seasonal increase
– A self-starter with a positive, resilient and tenacious attitude
– Excellent communication skills
– Physical fit due the nature of the work involved as on occasions this can involve physically demanding lifting and carrying
– Due to location you may require transport
