Financial Controller

Salary: £26,000 per year

An established business based in Aldershot are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to take a lead position for the financial control and reporting for this SME business. This role is be a replacement position but a notice period can be accommodated.

Financial Controller – About The Role

You will be managing the day-to-day financial control and management, ensuring strong financial controls and process are established within the team.

You will work with both the Managing Director and Owner of this SME to provide sound financial reporting and guidance to aid growth for the future. You will be overseeing and managing a small finance team and your responsibilities will incorporate the following:

* Production of the Management Accounts including breaking down each site location with commentary

* Full analysis on cash-flow and expenditure

* Oversee all ledgers – nominal, purchase & sales

* Stock valuation reporting

* Manage the annual audit process, managing all communication with the company’s auditors

* Statutory reporting

* Preparation of the payroll (outsourced)

* Management and calculation of the company’s pension scheme

* Management of the premises and landlord communication

This position offers the opportunity to work across finance and other areas of the business. You will be working with highly energetic Managing Director.

Whilst this is a full-time position this client is open to this individual working from home for one day per week.

The successful Financial Controller will have:

Experience of working as a Financial Controller within an SME environment
Experience of working with an ERP system – Sage 200 would be a distinct advantage
