Client Summary:

The client is a leader in rolling stock freight maintenance and overhaul, with clientele including the likes of Colas Rail, Freightliner and Direct Rail.

Position Summary:

The client is looking for skilled electrical fitters to join their existing heavy overhaul team based at Eastleigh Depot. The successful candidates will be performing overhaul and maintenance of rolling stock freight and passenger vehicles on a day shift basis. Hours will be 40 per week plus overtime as required. This opportunity will be on a temporary to permanent basis.

Person Profile/Experience:

The successful candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in modern rolling stock operations, whether this be on electrical modifications, routine maintenance or overhaul on freight or passenger vehicles. Candidates will be expected to perform all electrical tasks to a high standard (including looming, wiring, cable harnessing and point to point wiring) as work in this industry is safety critical. Candidates must be able to read engineering drawings & schematics.

Qualifications:

You will hold relevant Electrical Engineering Qualifications
You will be a highly self-motivated individual, able to work under your own initiative.
Good communication skills and team working.
You will possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
You will have knowledge of modern rolling stock systems
You will have experience of Train depot operations
