Dual Fuel Meter Installer

The Role:

Dual Fuel Gas and Electric Meter Fitters required to fit domestic gas smart metering systems into residential premises in the PL postal code.

This position is an ongoing temporary contract and labour only, which means that everything is supplied and you are required to only provide your technical expertise as a Gas and Electric meter Fitter.

You will be paid £144 per day post Training/Induction regardless of the number of meters fitted, so unlike a price work contract where parking or aborts can cost you money, you know what you will be getting paid in advance.

Regular pay increases for remaining on the contract long term.

Opportunity to become a permanent position after 26 working weeks subject to performance

The Candidate:

You will have to meet the following criteria, to stand any chance of getting on this exceptional long term, high earning contract;

1) Gas and Electric Meter Installer ACS required: CCN1 or CMA1 and MET1 or MET2)

2) A checkable* history with a reputable Gas Metering Main or Sub-contractor or Utilities Company. * References will be checked from all your previous employers to verify your technical ability for a period of at least five years.

3) Be prepared to work outside of your local area if required (adjacent postal code)

4) Work evenings, weekends and on-call via a Rota System if required (1 week in 4)

5) Commit to the temporary contract for at least 26 working weeks

6) Be prepared to be vetted via a Criminal Record Check

7) Have a maximum of THREE penalty points on your driving license

8) Be prepared to drive a van that has a tracker fitted

9) Be prepared to attend a Health and Safety Induction, which may be outside of your local area and involve overnight stays (all expenses covered).

10) Have previously worked on a metering contract or permanent position for a minimum of 12 months

The All Important Benefits:

This is a long term temporary contract, which may offer the opportunity of permanent employment, subject to your performance and of course, wanting the position.

b) Training is paid

c) Earn £144 per day regardless of how many meters you fit. £125 per day after 26 weeks and £130 per day after 52 weeks

d) Runrec guarantee to increase your pay rate three times in the first year (14 weeks, 27 weeks and 52 weeks up to £144per day)

e) Earnings of £600+ per week or more is regularly achievable after paid induction period plus overtime.

f) You will be supplied with a Vehicle, Fuel Card, Tools, PPE, Phone

k) Payment is via the Payment Company of your choice or your own Ltd Company, giving you the opportunity to off-set tax against legitimate business expenses.

This temporary contract is via Runrec Ltd Vetting and Recruitment. We are an Agency and will support you and act as a mid way point between our Client, our Candidate (you) and the Payment Company (who you choose to get paid through).

The Client for this contract is one of the UK’s largest and a leading utilities metering contractor, which Meter Installers working nationwide on gas, electrical and dual fuel metering projects
