Assistant Operations Manager (Warehouse and Logistics) 18 month fixed term contract

Our client is a global manufacturer and marketer of business machines, records storage and office accessories.

They now have an exciting opportunity to join their busy team in Doncaster. Supporting the Operations Manager, you will hit the ground running in this challenging role. Using your knowledge you will develop and implement production and distribution improvements to grow their market position. You will analyse data and assist in budget control, ensuring accurate reporting and any variances are accounted for within the warehouse. Using your excellent relationship building skills, you will liaise with customers in relation to their goods in interface, attending meetings to drive improvements on both sides. Effectively managing the stock levels, warehouse office and team, you will be instrumental in the smooth running of the operation.

The successful candidate must be highly experienced within Warehouse and Logistics management. A natural leader, you must be able to guide and mentor those around you to achieve set deadlines. Due to the nature of this role strong IT skills are a must, particularly experienced in Excel and Oracle, RF experience is also beneficial, however knowledge in a similar ERP system would be considered.
