Baseline Recruit is working with a fantastic organisation in London in supporting the recruitment for a Head of Fire, Safety & Asbestos. For this role you will need experience in managing full public sector procurement processes from an operational standpoint.
The Head of Fire, Safety & Asbestos / Head of Compliance will have the responsibility and authority to ensure that the organisation meets its legal obligations and keeps their residents safe. The postholder will be responsible for setting policy and procedure, setting and monitoring budgets, agreeing planned works and overseeing the teams managing the programmes and contractors. You will have the ability to guide the organisation and influence change.
What you’ll need to succeed
* Proven experience in a senior management role in social housing, property, facilities management or public sector organisation
* Experience managing full public sector procurement processes and mobilisation from an operational standpoint
* Must have proven and previous experience in Fire Safety management services within the residential sector in particular the completion of Fire Risk Assessments and preferably have a recognised professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from creditable providers such as the Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association or NEBOSH.
* Responsible for organisation compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005 (RRFSO 2005) and must possess in depth knowledge of the regulation change in the fire sector and the ability to provide highly technical advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of fire safety, as well as in depth knowledge of the regulation change in the fire sector
