Carrington West are delighted to be assisting our client with the search for a Network Control Centre Operator (CCTV Operator) – a permanent position based in their Highways Control Centre.
***Please note this is shift work based on a shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 shifts off***
Job Purpose:
To provide an efficient and timely incident response service, via a 24 hour Network Control Centre, which effectively co-ordinates and records the response to network incidents.
Key Accountabilities:
· Monitor traffic flows via CCTV
· Act as key point of contact communicating with emergency resources through various methods including telephone, radio and data terminals.
· Respond to telephone calls from the police relating to incidents on the network deploying and managing resources at incidents ensuring any additional support is correctly identified and provided.
· Update and finalise incident logs inputting incident data on to a computer database.
· Maintain contact with the RCC during an incident.
· Maintain and update information database, including emergency call out contact details and information relevant to the operation of the network.
· Provide an administrative service to other teams as required. Provide cover to other NCC operatives as required, including undertaking training in duties normally undertaken by others.
· Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with the general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.
· Perform other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.
Typical Skills/Experience:
· Typically 3+ years experience of working in an administrative function.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
· Computer literate with competent ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
