You’re Profile
As the Project engineer you will have a proven track record of production engineering of new products on into an automotive site. With a sound knowledge of injection moulding, tooling, APQP, FMEA and project management.

The Role

As the project engineer your role will be to support the Project Manager on preparation of risk assessment for new projects and be a Key FMEA team member. The Project engineer will be responsible for generating and updating Bill of Materials, generate and update process flow charts. Key internal customers will be Operations, Production, Engineering and Project quality where the key responsibilities will be to up date plant layouts, process developments, DVP testing, statistical analysis capability studies, new gauges and PPAP submissions.
The Project Manager will drive the project engineer to control design, process feasibility studies, Co-ordinate production, and assembly trials and ensure successful training Is delivered to all operators on new equipment and products launched into the site.
The Project engineers key to coordination between the customer and the internal departments ensuring the successful delivery of the projects. This will involve also driving tooling suppliers to run tooling trials both on site and at supplier’s site. Liaises with operations to support on new production equipment and fixtures specs and support the project managers on approvals for purchase requisitions and keeping track of project expenditure.
The complete life cycle of the project will be tracked by the Project engineer which will include the final build of the prototype and then delivery to the customers site. Liaising with the customer for any complaints issues which will include both manufacturing and quality issues.
