Showroom / Store Assistant – Part-Time

Our client is a family run business operating across 19 branches throughout the South East and Anglia regions. Due to a departmental restructure, they are now looking to recruit a Showroom/Store assistant at their Albourne Branch in East Sussex.

Role Purpose:
Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day sales within the showroom ensuring excellent customer service at all times by dealing with all queries relating to the products and services supplied by the Company.

Essential Skills/Experience:
vExcellent people skills and enjoy working with the general public
vEnjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods
vGood communication skills: face to face, letter, email and fax
vFamiliarity of working in a retail environment and showroom experience (desirable)
vGeneral computer skills and familiarity with email and internet use,
vGood numeracy and literacy skills
vSales experience and/or knowledge or horticultural and agricultural machinery (desirable)
vClean driving license
vSmart & presentable appearance
vMotivated by sales and targets
vAttention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of cash, cheque and card payments
vAble to use own initiative
vMaintain a good general level of health and fitness

The hours are 30.5 per week (Wednesday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm.

Due to location you will be required to have your own transport.
