Sales Director

Salary: £72,000 – £84,000 per year

Senior Sales, Sales Director, Business Development, Head of Sales role for a business that supplies into construction and civil engineering sectors. Suited to a sales professional that has experience selling to an international customer base and exposure to Export sales, selling construction materials used in landscaping and building projects.

Excellent starting salary (we suspect £72,000 – £84,000 region) + Bonus + Car + Wider company benefits

This job will suit:

* Senior Sales, Sales Director, Business Development, Head of Sales or similar role.

* This is NOT a man management role, although there may be scope for this moving forward this is more about market analysis, business development and account management – someone who still wants to be out in front of a customer.

* Ideally someone who has sold within the construction or civils sectors; possibly selling aggregates, landscaping, surfaces, flooring or something similar.

* They have gone through a considerable about of growth having doubled their turnover in the last 10 years and still going through a strong period at present.

The job will involve:

* Front line responsibility for Sales & Business Development across the business, taking responsibility for all sales activities – managing existing accounts as well as targeting new business.

* Develop the export side of the business through direct channels or using distribution network / international agents.

* Market analysis and sales strategy; be able to identify which markets to target for growth, and them implement the defined strategy to make it happen.

* Reporting to the MD, this is primarily a Sales role which sits in the senior management team. (There is a senior level Marketing professional in the peer group and this will be a key relationship).
