Area Sales Manager

We are working on behalf of the UK’s leading supplier of Tools for the Builders, DIY, Gardening, Construction, Decorating, Engineering and Automotive markets who are looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to manage their well established business within the West Midlands / Staffordshire area – Postcode areas B, ST, WS, WR

Their customer base will be mostly the Independent DIY Retailers, Builders Merchants, Home & Hardware Retailers, Engineering Tool Stores, Paint Retailers and Wholesalers which will include Brewers, Bira Direct, Home Hardware, NBG Group and NMBS Members.

My client is very well established within this area already and as such the role is going to be a higher percentage current account management role working with their existing customers to increase listings and sell in promotional packages and to a lesser but still important extent a new business development role targeting new accounts for the Company.

The ideal candidate will need to live eithe rwithin the B, ST, WS or WR Postcode or will be within easy commute of the area, must have experience within the Tools or DIY Sector (Paint, Brushes, Rollers, Hand Tools, Electricians Tools, Plumbers Tools, Gardening Tools or affiliated product also sold into this market) and a minimum of 2 years area sales experience, in return my client is offering a generous basic salary of between £30,000’000 and £28,000 + Bonus, Company Car, Laptop, Mobile Phone, Pension Scheme, Private Health Scheme and 22 Days Holiday + Stat Days.
