Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per year
Corporate & Commercial Legal Secretary
An Established law firm based in Colchester has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary with Corporate and Commercial exposure to assist an individual lawyer and /or wider team. You will need to have experience working within a Law Firm ideally within Corporate and Commercial teams. Your experience will also include supporting a team with their marketing and business development activities.
The Role
* To provide secretarial support to an individual lawyer and/or wider team
* Audio typing using digital dictation
* Electronic Diary management, Booking meeting rooms, arranging meetings
* Liaise with clients, companies, solicitors
* Regular telephone contact with clients and professional contacts
* Assist fee earners in the maintenance of time recording
* File and case management, bill preparation
* Record and assist in the opening and closing of files
* Managing marketing data and liaising with the marketing team
* Maintain the filing system
Experience required:
* At least 1years recent Corporate, Commercial, Intellectual property or Commercial Property legal secretarial experience
* Experience with Microsoft office, word, outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
* Fast and accurate Audio typing skills
* Attention to detail, excellent grammar is essential
* You will be a team player
* Able to prioritise and multitask
* Pre-empt problems and identify solutions
* Demonstrate a pro-active approach to your work
