AutoCAD Technician

A UK leading electronics company based in North West London are seeking a self-driven and highly motivated AutoCAD Technician to join their forward thinking, successful and growing company. As an AutoCAD Technician you will:
• Be in the front line of their technical team, primarily tasked with providing electrical installation drawings to their many customers and clients.
• Be responsible for marking up lighting drawings to their company standards, producing detailed installations and wiring diagrams, and associated supporting documents, with a fine eye for detail.
• Provide technical support to customers and clients on the telephone and/when necessary.
• On occasion, report back on technical enquiry trends, provide on-site support for commissioning and/or fault finding, as well as potentially travelling within the UK/overseas as the business grows.

The ideal AutoCAD Technician will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Will have a sound academic record
• Must be confident and capable at producing 2D drawings with AutoCAD LT
• Will have an engineering background, preferably in electrical engineering, although a mechanical background would also be considered
• Diplomacy and excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well within teams
• Must be able to work well with people at all levels within the Company/clients companies
• Is outgoing, hardworking and able to work well on own initiative
• Will be self-motivated and conscientious with exemplary attention to detail

Preferable but not essential:
• Previous experience within a technical support role (telephone based) would be an advantage, although not essential, as training will be provided if required
• Previous electrical installation experience is highly desirable
• Understanding and knowledge of 3D modelling would be an advantage, as it may be a future requirement

In return you will receive a Salary: £26,000 – £26,400depending on skills and experiences
