Design Engineer

Salary: £42,000 per year

Design Engineer, DN9, up to £35,000 depending on experience.
Our client is an award winning, hugely successful company with ambitious plans for growth who are now looking to appoint a Design Engineer to join their busy, expanding design team
The role of Design Engineer;
* Working with clients managing engineering projects from concept to completion
* 3D Mechanical design using Solidworks
* Working with manufacturing to ensure that engineering designs are suitable for manufacture
* Creating bill of materials
* Ensuring engineering designs are cost effective and are created using the most effective materials
You;
may already be working as a design Engineering, Project Engineer or CAD Engineer but we would also consider anyone who is working in a shop floor engineering role who is using 3D design to design parts and assemblies for production but is looking to move their career forward.
Skills required for the Design Engineer role
* Demonstrable experience of 2D or 3D design within an engineering / manufacturing environment
* Experience of assisting with the delivery of projects
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Formal engineering qualification
* Strong Solid Works or similar 3d package experience
* Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers ideal but not essential
* Used to complying with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
