Salary: £20.4 – £26.4 per hour

Looking for Experienced Web Editor/Digital Marketing Executive for the temporary 3 months contract in London, SE1

This position will act as Web Editor, being the focal point for all of digital marketing issues. This includes day-to-day management of the website, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and social media – managing suppliers and co-ordinating colleagues across the business as required. The post holder should possess good communication, organising and negotiating skills as well as strong experience and skills using digital channels effectively.
Website management • As Web Editor, be the Group’s focal point for digital marketing.
• Manage the Web Developer in line with procurement procedures.
• Co-ordinate content editors to ensure web content is always relevant and up-to-date.
• Ensure web content reflects Client’s brand and SEO strategies.
• Manage analytics suppliers, ensuring monthly reports are produced on time and identify key trends and issues, making recommendations in line with best practice.
• Deliver specific, web-based projects as required. • Website content is kept up to date and relevant.
• Web editors are trained, supported and clear on their responsibilities..
• Monthly analysis is produced and relevant issues are identified and recommedations made and implemented.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) • Manage SEO supplier.
• Undertake keyword analysis (including competitors), highlighting any trends/issues and make recommendations
• Ensure interal colleagues are engaged.
• Ensure that all web content and meta-data is entered according to the keyword strategy.
• Actively look for opportunities to build links to the company’s site, liaising with the business where necessary.
• Produce monthly reports on SEO activity, liaising with external suppliers where necessary.
• All website content follows the agreed SEO strategy.
• Monthly reports show an increase in back-links.
• Emerging trends/issues, particularly relating to competitors, are regularly identified.

Social media • Act as the ‘expert’ and focal point for all client’s social media.
• Provide advice/support to colleagues managing other social media channels (e.g. Stakeholder Manager and LinkedIn).
• Develop and deliver pro-active social media campaigns in line with content marketing strategy – including supporting the Marketing Campaigns Officer (MCO) in this part of their role.
• Provide support to MCO on customer services/Facebook issues.
• Manage mechanisms for measuring channels, identifying trends/issues and making recommendations.
• Keep up-to-date with developments in social media and make recommendations for improvement.
• Client has clear, regularly monitored presence on relevant social media platforms.
• Negative social media comments are reported in a timely manner in accordance with the Group’s crisis plan.
Content marketing Maintain ownership for Client’s content marketing plans through:
• Working with colleagues, including the MCO, to develop and delivery content marketing plans for a range of audiences and campaigns.
• Ensuring all content marketing activity is joined up and supports/enhances the Client’s brand.
• Put measurement procedures in place to meet content marketing targets.
• Content marketing plans are implemented which are audience appropriate and fulfil objectives.
Digital marketing • Keep up-to-date with digital marketing developments and share knowledge with the Marketing and Strategy team and other relevant departments (such as sales).
• • Procedures for building and managing customer data are established.
• Suggestions for improving open and click-through rates on emails are made.
• Emails are developed in line with company’s website and brand strategy.

Other duties • Ad hoc duties as requested in line with responsibilities of the post. These could occasionally involve evening and weekend work.

Education / Qualifications
• Educated to degree level
• Relevant professional qualification in communications

Knowledge & Understanding
• Good understanding of content management systems and how they work.
• Understanding of how digital communications can fit into the rest of the marketing mix.
• Knowledge of web principles: information architecture, website navigation, user experience, accessibility and analytics.
• Knowledge of a wide variety of social media.
• General understanding of both paid and natural SEO principles.
• Knowledge of effective content marketing techniques and implementation methods.

Skills
• Good writing skills
• Ability to use content management systems and produce briefs for technical supplierse
• Photoshop skills
• Ability to work effectively with and influence other internal individuals and departments and the external web developer
• Problem solving: able to develop web-based solutions
• Ability to use analytics software to produce reports on a variety of digital communications.

Experience
• Experience of working with content management systems.
• Experience for writing web copy and managing website navigation.
• Proven ability to work with and advise a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience of working to deadlines.
• Proven ability to use social media to deliver communication campaigns.
• To be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
