Senior RF Design Engineer / Receiver Design Manager: You will join a world leading electronics company, and lead a team of engineers to develop high performance optical receivers for use in telecommunication systems. Receivers will be based on internal photonic integrated circuits and work at speeds of 100Gbit/s and above. There is a relocation package offered with this role.

The Role:

Manage team of RF, optical and process engineers to design receivers for high bit rate communication systems to cost and on time including the following activities:
*
Design receiver optics and RF to deliver a high performance device that is manufacturable in volume
*
Circuit engineering to optimise amplitude and phase response to tight tolerances for phase modulated optical systems
*
Test procedure definition
*
Verification of performance against specification
*
Liaise with remote sites to introduce into manufacture
*
Work with third party electronics design teams to specify, and influence developments to procure best in class performance parts
Your Skills and Experience:
*
Minimum requirements
*
Degree in Physics, Electronics or related discipline
*
8 years industrial experience
*
Knowledge / skills:
*
Design of low noise, high frequency electronic circuits
*
High frequency circuit modelling
*
Experience:
*
Leadership of a multidisciplinary team
*
Development of microwave, millimetric products
