Salary: £42,000 – £44,400 per year

A large facilities maintenance contractor are currently recruiting for a Lead Electrical Mechanical Engineer on a permanent, full-time basis at Western Approach, Severn Beach, Bristol. 

Job Overview

The Position of Lead Electrical Engineer is to be based within the GKN contract, primarily from the WAP site, however travel between a portfolio of sites in the Bristol area covering GKN site (Filton & GTC), as required from the business.

The Lead Electrical Engineer will act as a key focal point for client and technical interactions on site and be involved in both tactical planning and day-to-day operational delivery of the contracted services covering PPM’s, Reactive works and Extra Works remaining accountable for the delivery and management of SLA’s, as well as Health and Safety at all times.

The success of this role and the supporting your team by delivering first class customer service and technical expertise to site-based employees, subcontractors, visitors and the wider FM delivery team.

To successfully operate all areas of the FM contracted technical services within your designated demise and drive a first-time fix solution throughout the business covering both building 5020 and 5010, at the WAP site.

To lead your team, subcontractor base by example and through effective use of leadership techniques to develop the skills to grow the business. This includes driving service initiatives and securing the support of all the FM teams in the pursuit of Operational Excellence.

To actively support and adopt best practice across all operations within the contract. To be an ambassador for first class technical service, identify opportunities acting on them and seeing them through to conclusion. Work closely with your team, site manager and wider contract team to identify assets that are end of life or a risk to the client’s business for inclusion in the budgeted maintenance plan, as deemed necessary in allowing constant growth for the business, offering best practice linked with cost effective solutions at all times.

Actively support the client and senior team in identifying areas for improvement in performance and reducing energy consumption and the delivery of Net Zero targets.

To ensure a focussed approach to all governance-based requirements with a sense of true ownership and determination working with your team, manager and subcontract bases.

Salary & Benefits

£42,000 – £44,400 per year depending on experience

40 hours per week

23 days holiday per annum
