Machine Setter and Maintenance Technician

Our Client is a food, drink & cosmetic glass bottle printing company based in Burnley. They are currently looking for an experienced Machine Setter and production line maintenance technician, to join their established family company that’s increased its workload and is now expanding and developing.

Core responsibility, qualifications and level of experience:
• You must be competent and have previous experience of working with manufacturing machinery
• have an understanding of mechanics and machines
• An apprenticeship is desirable.
• Work to routines to ensure the necessary setup and maintenance input to achieve production targets to maximum output with minimum of stoppages.
• Capable of planning and executing full line change-overs in a timely fashion to suit production needs and quality standards.
• systematically monitor machine performance and identify maintenance requirements.
• Carrying out necessary planned maintenance and breakdown routines within agreed methods while maintaining records.
• responding effectively and in a timely manner to stoppages, breakdowns; understanding priorities.
• Providing guidance and training to, operators.
• Discuss with management as to how to improve the working environment and put forward any ideas or suggestions which could improve safety, quality and/or productivity.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS / DESIRABLE TRAINING

• Recognised Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or combined)

HOURS OF WORK
Hours will be 6pm to 6am Tues, Weds and Thurs
The role demands flexibility
OT hours may be required

This is a temporary to permanent role

Salary: £26,000per year – dependant on experience.
