Quality Inspector / QC Inspector / Quality Control Inspector

A Quality Inspector / QC Inspector / Quality Control Inspector is required for a well established engineering company based in the Dudley area. The position working nights from Mon to Thurs, 39hrs per week. Duties include providing inspection to a range of precision components using various pieces of equipment. Temp to Perm contract paying £16.15 p/h on nights.

Full duties include –

Responsible for the inspection of products in the Inspection Department and on the shop floor.
Compiling of inspection reports.
Operate within and assist in the Quality systems throughout the company
Utilize measuring equipment in order to verify product.
Help with the company’s efforts towards continuous improvements.
Comply with the requirements of the current Health and Safety legislation and any other legal requirements.
To be an effective liaison point, in terms of questions relating to Quality Assurance matters

Applicants MUST have a solid background within quality inspection or auditing, with hands on experience measuring precision parts using quality based instruments. Knowledge or experience using CMM, Surface Finish, Mitutoyo Formtracers is highly advantageous.

Must also have an excellent understand of quality based procedures, be PC literate and have effective communication skills.

The position is a Permanent contract upon successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.

Rate of pay is £16.15p/h on nights.

The position may start on days for the first few weeks to undergo training, rate of pay on days is £16.15p/h

Working hours for nights are 10pm – 7.30am Mon, 9:30pm – 7:30am Tues – Thurs.
