Food Production Supervisor (Nights)

PMP Recruitment are working on behalf of a prestigious food processing client based in Corby, Northamptonshire recruiting for an experienced Food Production Supervisor preferably with experience in the Meat processing industry and with the ability to successfully lead a team of 4 Line Leaders and deputising for the Shift Manager in their absence.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leading meat processing business who are well know in the industry and locally in Corby.

The Northamptonshire site boasts a £35M turnover and the company is part of Group turning over in excess of £350M.

Our client has recently invested heavily in several new friers and a number of new high speed packing / processing lines with a view of investing more in the short and long term.

Role: Food Production Supervisor (Fixed Nights)
Shift: Nights (Roster basis; 5 from 6 shifts between Sunday to Friday)
Hours per Week: 40 Hours a Week
Working Hours: 10pm to 6am / 6pm to 6am (varies dependant on season / customer orders)
Basic Salary: £33,600 – £36,000
Additional Shift Premium: 15% of Basic Salary (i.e. £33,600 – £36,000+ 15% Premium = £34,000 p/a)
Overtime: Regularly Available

The ideal Candidate:

Experienced Food Production Manager / Production Section Manager / Production Area Manager / Production Supervisor / Senior Line Leader
Meat processing industry experience desired & an added advantage
Experienced in Managing / Overseeing an Operational Team of up to 50 Operatives
Experienced in Managing a team of up to 4 Line / Team Leaders
Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, COSHH
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality & Customer Care / Customer Service
Experience with Six Sigma, 5’s, Kaizen working principles & processes
Promote and drive Continuous Improvements
Strong Communicator at all levels; face to face, over the telephone and via email
Driven with a persuasive nature and strong but calm approach to management
Democratic Management style, taking onboard others ideas and working to the end goal / target
Used to working to KPI’s and ensuring targets are achieved / exceeded
Able to prioritise workloads and ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner
Used to working at pace and with a high level of accuracy at all times
Lets get it right first time approach to all tasks
Hands on Manager / Team Leader
Flexible with duties and working hours
Adaptable to change
