An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Junior PHP Developer to join their team and contribute significantly to the development and enhancement of their application.

As a Junior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for enhancing our client’s cutting-edge educational application by implementing new features and extensions.

Joining a small and expanding team, you’ll hit the ground running and write clean, quality code that meets our client’s high standards. Utilising your great PHP and front end skills, you’ll uncover new solutions to complex problems and ensure that all work is completed to the required deadline.

Additionally, you’ll keep abreast of new technologies and developments to ensure that our client remains at the forefront of their industry.

To be considered for this role, you must have a degree, ideally in an IT or technical discipline, and at least one year’s commercial programming experience. You must also have experience of the following:

– OO PHP (5.3+)
– HTML and CSS
– jQuery and JavaScript
– MySQL

Enthusiastic and passionate, as a Junior PHP Developer, you must have a great eye for detail, strong communication and problem solving skills and the willingness to constantly grow and develop.

Experience of using Ember would be beneficial to your application, as would mobile development experience using Appcelerator or Titanium. Proven experience of Unit testing, PHP frameworks and Model-Viewer-Controller patterns and frameworks would also be advantageous.
