Transport Planner

Our client, a personalised transport planning and infrastructure design consultancy, has an opportunity for a Transport Planner to join their friendly design office based in Bath.

The specialist transport planning company have been providing services such as planning applications, allocations in local development frameworks, section 106/278 agreements and planning appeals to clients for over a decade.

The role will involve the analysis of data, accessibility appraisal, production of drawings for reports, report writing and travel plans, access design, junction assessment and site visits.

You will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for private sector developments, from small housing projects to large mixed-use renovation schemes.

Candidates will need to have:

Degree in transport planning, geography or civil engineering.
Knowledge of the computer design software AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Word.
Good listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Common sense and a practical approach to problem solving. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic candidates who are keen to gain experience and develop their career. In addition to transport planning the company undertake the detailed design of highway infrastructure, so there would be opportunities to gain experience of that area also.
