Assistant Parts Distribution Manager

Our client is currently seeking to recruit a strong, driven and passionate parts person with supervisory experience to join their busy and expanding business in the West Yorkshire area. This is an excellent opportunity to join an internationally recognised brand and develop your skills within a fast paced and pressurised environment. This is a full time permanent role working regular days Monday to Friday, however flexibility is essential. The annual salary is between £27,600and £27,000 depending on skills and experience.

The role:
– Maintaining a well organised and efficient automotive parts warehouse
– Controlling and accounting for all goods, including allocation of goods received from suppliers by use of the ‘Kerridge’ computer management system
– Overall responsibility for parts stock
– Required to ‘chip in’ and assist in more hands on jobs such as warehouse packing and loading or parts for shipment
– Managing and maintaining appropriate stock levels
– Ensuring ‘Kerridge’ is up to date with current parts stock
– Overseeing rolling stock takes and audits
– Overseeing parts shipments globally
– Liaising with the accounts department regarding verification and payment of invoices
– Ensuring staff compliance with stock procedures such as checking and invoicing of stock, as well as producing the correct paperwork for customer orders.

Candidate Essentials:
– MUST have a solid working knowledge of the ‘Kerridge’ computer management system with the ability to forecast and run management reports.
– MUST be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Excel
– Must be flexible and adaptable, willing to turn your hand to all areas of the business
– Must be ‘Hands On’ and not afraid to get their ‘hands dirty’
– Have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role within an automotive environment
– Excellent leadership and motivational skills
– Must have the ability to manage a small team of staff, communicate and lead in a positive manor
