Gas Engineer

Salary: £26,000 per year

There are circa 2 million Traditional Gas & Electric Meters to exchange nationwide that need replacing with Smart Meters.

We have opportunities for professional and experienced Gas Engineers to be upskilled to become a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer.

Our industry leading training will be delivered from one of our impressive training centres. Our dedicated trainers will provide you with everything that you need to upskill from a Gas Engineer to a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer to deliver an excellent and safe service which in turn will result in job satisfaction.

You will also be included in our Retention Bonus Scheme, which is an exciting addition to the company for 2021. You will be awarded an additional £26,000 on top of your annual earnings, following 3 years’ service. There is also the added option of being able to draw down a fixed amount from the overall lump sum each year.

· Daily bonus- Earn from £16.50 per meter (from 7th meter)

o Top 25% of operatives are installing 7+meters per day

· Quarterly Bonus- £250 for zero non- conformances (£26,000 per year)

* Saturday working- Average of £195 earning for full day*

* £2000 London Weighting (where applicable)

* Average travel time between appointments- 20 minutes

What you will need…

* Have previous 6 months minimum experience in a Gas Engineer role (Ideally experience with gas meter installation

* Current CCN1/CMA1 & MET1 qualification

* UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.

* Have no unspent criminal convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check (CRC)

All successful applicants will be subject to our standard vetting procedures, including passing a basic criminal record check, identity & address check, driving licence check, proven eligibility to work in the UK check, and previous 5 year employment history check.
