Autism Community Support Worker – Various Locations in Dorset

Salary: £26,000 per year

My client is a well established, well respected, well run charity that helps people with learning difficulties across the South of England. They are a caring company who have gone from strength to strength during the pandemic and are a 24/7 specialist in providing care for people with Autism and Downs Syndrome. Their community work is amazing and they look after their employees as happy employee will provide great care.

Due to expansion they are looking for Community Support Workers, you will be:-

* Providing people with learning difficulties (autism) support in their own home as well as accompanying them out and about to make them as independent as possible

* Working on as rolling rota that will be every other weekend and 1-2 sleep over’s per week

* Helping people with emotional and physical needs in line with their care plan

* Full time or part time hours available to suit your week

* You will be based in or around which ever location in South Dorset is closest to you – Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Weymouth or Sherborne

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

* You would need to able to pass a DBS check – this will be fast tracked and paid for you

* Living in or around any of the following locations in Dorset – Poole, Bournemouth, Sherborne, Weymouth or Christchurch

* You need to have a full UK driving licence as well as a vehicle

* NVQ level 2 in health and social care preferred but would also like to hear from people who maybe has family experience dealing with people with autism or Down’s Syndrome

Benefits

* £9.36 -£9.59 depending on qualification – this then goes up after probation

* 28 days holiday, this rises over time to 33 days

* Travel expenses paid at 45p per mile

* Sleep In’s paid at £55
