As an Art Teacher – Chesterfield, your duties will include but are not limited to…

v Ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and learning objectives.

v Take into account and be sensitive to the linguistic and cultural challenges students may face.

v Encourage all students to become independent learners and be actively engaged in their own learning.

v Keep work areas tidy and well organised.

v Make a positive contribution to the efficient running of the Department, including setting and marking assessments, attending departmental meetings.

v Enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the department and through sharing resources and good practice, lesson observation, and collaborative teaching.

v Safeguard and promote the welfare of students.

v Support the school’s aims and objectives for teaching and learning

The successful candidate for this Art Teacher – Chesterfield position will have…

v Excellent academic qualifications with QTS and experience of teaching to KS3 & 4

v Excellent subject knowledge and a broad range of skills in Art and Design.

v be capable of delivering dynamic and effective lessons to the full age and ability range of students;

v be an innovative classroom teacher capable of helping to develop a syllabus that brings Art to life for our students;

v Be a highly effective communicator with appropriate knowledge and consideration of communicating with international students.

Strong classroom management will be required.
