Salary: £27,758 – £34,428 per year
Dedicate Recruitment are seeking an experienced Payroll/Finance Officer to join this CofE Multi-Academy Trust, including both primary and secondary schools, in Slough.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the postholder will be responsible for the central payroll function for 500 staff across the Trust. You will collate information for staff relating to hours worked, updating new starters and leavers information, resolving pension queries and correcting any anomalies ready for processing by the outsourced bureau, Moorepay.
Coupled with this, you will support one of the primary schools with finance queries. The successful candidate will be confident working within a fast-paced environment and can respond quickly to change, demonstrating an understanding of basic double entry bookkeeping and can bring experience of maintaining accurate financial records and year end returns. This is a 70/30% split between payroll and finance.
You will be comfortable working within a team and as an individual, with exemplary organisational skills and attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills essential and an understanding of SIMS/FMS is highly desirable for this role, though training will be provided.
While previous experience of working in a school environment is preferred, the client is happy to receive applications from candidates in the commercial sector.
This is a permanent, on site, full time, all year through post. There is no hybrid working available. The successful candidate will hold a current Enhanced DBS check or will be subject to one.
