Trainee Estimating Engineer (CNC)

Our client are a large engineering firm who are looking to recruit a junior costing/ estimation engineer to join the team.

The candidate must be a time served engineer and be interested in training as a estimating engineer.

The Main Tasks of the Role are Outlined Below:-

• To calculate piece price, tooling and investment costs for current and future products.
•To gather, analyse and collate cost information, including raw materials, sub-contracting, labour and overheads.
• Monitor and identify cost variances from agreed targets through project life.
• Support the quotation process through from initial inquiry through to our sales department.
•Produce appropriate data to ensure all inquiries are managed efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• To develop knowledge of the Company’s products and the current manufacturing methods.
•To act as conduit between various departments build good working relationships within those departments.

Candidates must have Practical experience in using an MRP manufacturing system.
