Parcel Sorter

Fantastic position based at East Midlands Airport to work as a Parcel Sorter for one of our major clients. This is a part time position working up to 20 hours per week Monday to Friday. Full training is provided and access to free car parking is available.

You will be working as a Parcel Sorter for a large postal company that were established in 1516. They provide both mail collection and mail delivery services throughout the UK and require dedication individuals to work within their operation at East Midlands Airport.

The key duties as a Parcel Sorter are;

Loading and unloading freight & cargo weighing up to 25kg per item

Manually lifting parcels ready to be scanned and dispatched

Working on a busy parcel sorting department sorting parcels from Aircraft containers ready for dispatch

Using scanning equipment in order to identify parcels

Sorting freight into the correct postal zones ready for dispatch

Working as part of a team and also on your own

The following skills are essential for this Parcel Sorter position;

No experience is required as full training is provided

Be able to work in very busy and physically demanding environments

Be able to work in all weather conditions

You must be physically fit and have experience of working in a manual environment

The ability to get to and from East Midlands Airport

Be able to work at heights and in any confined spaces
