Workplace description: This boutique hotel offers a lounge bar to relax in, and a restaurant serving a creative menu made from local and seasonal produce. A number of stately homes and National Trust properties are nestled around the surrounding countryside. Walkers and cyclists will find picturesque routes in and around the Cotswold Hills.
Main duties and responsibilities: We are looking for a Breakfast/Commis Chef to assist with and to learn the skills needed in food preparation.
Responsibilities:
To assist the Chef de Partie in the day to day running of the designated section of the kitchen, ensuring that the establishment standards are consistently maintained.
To assist in the receiving and putting away of deliveries, ensuring that stock is rotated to achieve minimum wastage and is stored in compliance with the legislative requirements.
To work in an organised and hygienic manner, ensuring that all equipment and working surfaces are cleaned “as you go”.
To maintain the highest standard of personal hygiene.
To always be in the correct clean uniform.
To produce food items to the required standard as delegated.
To incorporate skills learnt at college and at work with the aim of progressing in your career.
Essential criteria: Have experience as a Breakfast/Commis Chef
To be aware of health and safety, and hygiene laws
Be able to work flexibly
Ability to motivate people
Accommodation provided: Yes
Charge for accommodation: 45.00 GBP per week
