We are looking for a Lead Solutions Architect to work with us on leading the development of DWP’s digital solutions architecture, improving the way that DWP interacts with and services millions of UK citizens.
You’ll join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We’re driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services, using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to create innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions.

As a Lead Solutions Architect you’ll be leading the design and implementation of digital solutions, offering guidance, support and technical experience to a team of architects and engineers, driving the development of innovative digital products and services that will positively impact the way that DWP interacts with millions of UK citizens.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
An ability to demonstrate in depth knowledge of application architecture design and modelling techniques, patterns, tools and standards.
A working understanding of public cloud technologies, design patterns, tools and best practice (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience of having worked in an Agile environment and championing Agile best practices.
Shaping and supporting technology initiatives, projects, programmes and portfolios.
Experience and/or desire to present at technical governance forums, providing and explaining insights, fielding questions and outlining future plans/strategies/changes.
