PRU Teaching Assistant

This Pupil Referral Unit is looking for someone to join their team with an immediate affect as a PRU Teaching Assistant. You will be required to support in a small class of 8 students with their academic studies and to manage their behaviour, some of these students will be part of a gang and will have issues going on outside of school. Therefore, the ideal PRU Teaching Assistant for this role must be able to build a good rapport with the students and have strong behaviour management.

Pupil Referral Unit

Found in the borough of Greenwich, this Pupil Referral Unit caters for students aged between 11-19 years who have been removed from a mainstream school on a temporary or permanent basis due to their behaviour and attendance. They currently have 60 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as ‘Good’ in all areas.
