Electronics Engineer

Barney Smith is recruiting for an electronics engineer to join a manufacturer of high quality testing instrumentation based in County Durham on a permanent basis.

In this role you will be responsible for product development including management of external design resources, risk assessments, budget management and associated documentation throughout the process all within approved timescales and quality manual requirements. You will also liaise with production and purchasing for product introduction and produce product plans and estimations.

For the role you must be qualified to degree level in electronic engineering or possess equivalent experience and have a proven track record in hardware or PCB design for high speed digital circuits, high voltage circuits or high precision or low noise analogue circuits. You must also have an understanding of safety critical design. Experience of Embedded software design packages, LabView, Linux or Unix would also be useful. You must also have understanding of basic electrical and electronic parameters such as measurements of resistance.
