Procurement and Supply Chain Executive

Salary: £28,800 – £32,400 per year

Procurement and Supply Chain Executive – South Shields – £28,800 – £32,400 per annum depending on experience

Our client is an extremely well established and successful company based in South Shields; due to their continued success they are now expanding their team and recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Executive to join their existing team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager your role is focussed on procurement and supply chain management.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Tracking the progress of orders
• Working with suppliers, agents and colleagues to make sure products arrive to schedule
• Raising of purchase orders and maintaining all related spreadsheets
• Liaising with other departments to ensure stakeholders are informed of specification changes.

This is a key role for an individual with previous experience in supply chain management and from a purchasing and shipping background with experience of using software systems for multiple order processing.

All applicants should possess the following skills/ experience:

• Previous supply chain / purchasing experience is essential
• Be an all-round team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Have good attention to detail
• Have the ability to categorise detailed information with speed and efficiency as well as accuracy.
• Be proficient at excel to an intermediate level

Hours of Work – Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm
