Support foundry production manufacturing cells in any capacity, carrying out repairs and maintenance to dies on and off machines.
Assist in ensuring that maximum production activities take place and then carrying our other toolmaking activities as required. Full Strip down of open and shut dies, full strip down of dies with sliding or hydraulic moving cores, Welding and reforming pieces missing from die inserts, manufacturing jigs & fixtures. Full strip down of shear tools, manufacturing punches and core pins from drawings, assembling shot stems & tips, full maintenance of hydraulic cylinders, seal or shaft replacement & testing, removal of galve from dies on the die casting machine, welding repairs on dies and reforming with die on the die-casting machine, changing broken shear tool punches on the machine, heat treatment, fitting of new inserts such as spreader and bushes, testing water-cooling channels and hydraulics on die casting tools & following foundry and company procedures.
