Job Title: Train Cleaner – Day Shifts at Tonbridge Rail Depot
Contract Length: 6 Month Initial Contract with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Interviews/Start Date: Immediate start available, subject to successfully passing our interview process and a Drug & Alcohol test.
We have one train cleaning opening available to join one of UKs largest and busiest Train Operating Companies as part of their Train Presentation team, where you will undertake critical work to ensure the cleanliness of their trains, ensuring the health and safety of the travelling public. This is a fantastic first step into the rail industry, with its abundance of career opportunities ahead.
About the role:
As a train cleaner you will assist with cleaning GB Railfreight Trains, in all weathers and conditions, with particular attention to sanitizing the driver’s cab. Tasks will include:
- Graffiti removal
- Interior cleaning
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
The successful candidate:
We’re looking for someone with great work ethics, hardworking, good communication and reliable. Must have a valid driver’s license. Whilst experience in train presentation is desired, we’re considering applications from other industries such as industrial cleaning, warehousing or similar experience.
Requirements:
This role will require applicants to work shifts between 08:00 – 16:30, Monday to Friday. You must be able to attend work on-time, be able and willing to work in all weathers, prove to be a hard-working individual with a great work record. Must hold a valid drivers’ license as a van will be provided to get around the depot as well as other nearby locations.
On-site training will be provided.
Rate of Pay
- Standard Hours (35 hours standard per hour) – £18.26p/h
