Rail CCTV / Comms Maintenance Engineer

Large sized professionally run rail comms solutions company seek Maintenance engineer with experience of Rail CCTV, PA/VA, CIS, and other electrical systems to undertake maintenance works on predominately rolling stock across depots in the south-east. The engineer will be ideally located in Herts, Bucks, Berks, Hamps, Surrey or London.

The business specialise on CCTV and other Comms systems such as Passenger information systems across the Bus & Rail sector and have established themselves as a business who a always pushing innovation.

The candidates main duties will be
+ Servicing on rolling stock across the range of systems they deliver,
+ Fault-finding and call-out reactive maintenance of all systems
+ General Engineering support

On top of this candidates will on occasion be required to:

+ Assisting in project installation where required
+ Correct storing & maintaining of technical information including manuals, health & safety documentation and where applicable standards and rail standards
+ Attending where required customer meetings
+ Giving technical assistance to Senior Engineer(s), Project Engineer(s), Project Manager(s) for scope of works regarding Method Statements, Risk Assessments & Works Package Plans, as an when required
+ Assisting with the supervision of installation engineers/teams as an when required
+ Provide head office with required documentation on works undertaken.
+ Resolve maintenance customer complaints and report findings to management…
+ Communicate/report all technical/engineering issues to senior members of 21st staff
+ Undertake when required test & inspection, installation, snagging and Commissioning tasks

Further be aware, You will be required to attend faults and possibly maintenance services outside of normal working hours (evenings, nights, weekends or Bank Holidays) but will be provided extra remuneration for your time

This will be a mobile role and you would be working within the South-East region and your role would include the maintenance of CCTV, Comms and other electrical systems upon rolling stock in the rail environment. As part of your role you would receive on-going training in order to develop your engineering skills in disciplines you may be lacking in order to provide the chance for success & progression within this highly professional company.
