Training General Manager (Manned Security)

Salary: £30,000 per year

My Bury St Edmunds based client are a recently formed company providing First Aid, Health and Safety and Manned Guarding training. Although recently established the company is linked to a manned guarding company who had their beginnings in the mid 1980s. The company is already successfully operating and has two trainers, a liveried car, website and a ready client base of companies from two guarding companies. The current Trainers are excellent at their jobs however my client believes they require somebody with the skill to develop the business further. Therefore they are looking to recruit a Training General Manager whose responsibility will be two fold, firstly and the primary focus will be to develop a strategy to drive the business forward e.g. develop a growth plan for the next 12-36 months (e.g. how to develop the services such as looking at the use of freelance trainers and building a client base) and secondly to deliver training.

Candidates for this role should

* Have a background in training – Security Officer and CCTV

* Have strategic development, administration, marketing and entrepreneurial skills

* Possess an ambition to nurture and grow a fledgling business.

* Candidates need to reside within 90 minutes travel of Bury St Edmunds. The role holder doesn’t need to visit the office on a daily basis and remote working will be possible after the initial bedding in period.

This role may well suit an experienced Trainer who has considered starting their own business but have been met with financial barriers in doing so. The client is looking for somebody to come onboard and treat the business as their own and see it as a long-term project, with that in mind there will be the option of shares (20%-30% of the business) after a suitable period. Support will be ongoing both financially and operationally although the company owners are not micro-managers.

Basic salary up to £30,000bonus based on profit, future share option, car and fuel card
