HSB Technical have a number of vacancies for multiple businesses covering the UK and overseas.

The power generation client I am recruiting for are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join the team. You will be part of a successful and recognised power generation business which supports the standby and rental generator market.

This position would suit a current Field Service Engineer working on generators / a sea-going marine engineer working on generators or main engines.

HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well regarded entity within the Power Generation Sector.

Responsibilities (Brief Outline):

You will: 

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance (PPM)

• Installation / commissioning on a wide variety of critical power equipment

• Carry out load bank testing, site surveys, inspections, fault finding, repairs and testing of generator sets and associated equipment

• Provide breakdown response, resolution and customer training 

• Provide key technical assistance as needed to internal engineering staff and customers 

• Accurately complete all records for completed works

• Be part of the on call rota

• Mentor and assist with on the job training and supervision of apprentices

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Proven experience in servicing and maintaining generator sets

• Relevant qualifications in a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline or have completed a relevant approved NVQ/apprenticeship

Qualifications:

• Driving licence

• 17th Edition (Desirable)

• ECS/CSCS Card (Desirable)

• V Control panel and electrical distribution (Desirable)
