Chefs Jobs UK are looking for a Senior Chefs for Winter placements in France. This is an amazing opportunity for you to use and develop your professional skills in fun and adventurous surroundings.

Employment runs on a seasonal basis with excellent potential to progress from one season to the next. Contracts start from the end of November/start December. The work can be demanding but the opportunities are endless; this is a great opportunity to work hard play hard!

What you’ll be doing as a Sous/Head Chef

Catering for Chalet guests from groups of 8 – 14 guests
Responsibility for creating a tailor made menu in conjunction with guests preferences and dietary requirements
All the food and domestic product shopping for your chalet
Four or five course evening meal with cheese (six days per week) including canapés and amuse bouche
Maintain weekly budgets and ensure all accounts are submitted in an efficient and timely manner
Health and Safety; ensuring that the chalet kitchen and front of house areas are adhere to company standardThese duties are not exhaustive and you may have to help out in other departments where necessary

What do you need?

An NVQ or equivalent in catering is desirable
Experience working within a fine dining kitchen environment (Rosette experience desirable)
Passion, creativity, excellent customer facing skills
Eye for detail and knowledge of a variety of cuisine
Must have a British/EU passport and National Insurance cardBenefits – what’s in it for you?
