Based in Milton Keynes we have helped some of the UK’s biggest and most prestigious names and brands in the Food and Hospitality industry optimise and improve their procurement and supply chain performance.
We are currently looking for someone who is experienced in end-to-end finance, someone who is not only keen to take ownership of all the financial management and activity, but as part of the leadership team play an active part in delivering our business strategy and growth plans. This role will suit someone who is passionate and caring, likes to play a central part within the business and has a natural ability to build strong relationships.
What will the role require you to do?
- Manage the company accounts and all financial activity, taking ownership of the annual budget process, regular P&L and cashflow forecasting and creation of board packs.
- Manage the sales, purchase, and general ledgers, ensuring that all invoices are raised and paid to the agreed timings and terms; and are accurately reflected in the P&L and Cashflow reports.
- Manage the payroll and expenses process, along with the management, renewal and roll out of the company benefits scheme
- Develop and maintain strong relationships inside and outside of the business, through effective communication, providing financial performance reports, trends, and updates to key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous development of the finance function and as part of the senior leadership team, contribute to the development and delivery of the business strategy via proactive leadership of projects & initiatives
- Manage the overhead costs and relationships with supporting service providers to the business ensuring the smooth running of the office administration
The essential experience and skills we are looking for:
- ACMA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA Qualified, Accountant / Business Partner / Finance Manager / Financial Controller or previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent people and communication skills – to work closely with all levels including CEO and board members
- High level of numeracy and an analytical approach;
- Strong financial and commercial acumen and attention to detail;
- Ability to influence and articulate and present the complex in simple terms
- Experience of managing and leading projects;
- Excellent level of IT competence including Sage, Microsoft Windows Excel & PowerPoint;
- Desire to understand the business and finances completely
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
