Senior Engineer

Salary: £432 – £540 per day

Unique opportunity for a number of Senior Engineers (3rd Line IT support backgrounds) to work for an expanding Group of IT companies continually making new acquisitions with aspirations to be on the Top 100 IT Services list globally. We are a fast growing, entrepreneurial start up with 5 entities already and an acquisition engine that dictates we now make several company acquisitions each year.

We are looking for hands-on technical Senior Engineers who are willing to change their usual way of working and adopt our unique Flip Service model and look after our VIP customers, so they become almost Technical Account Managers

Based from home in the UK or from one of our offices in Northampton or Bromsgrove, you will be working within a dedicated team to assist the IT Service Delivery Manager in the continued maintenance and smooth running of our client’s infrastructure, break/fix support, proactive support, and new equipment installations. At times, you will also be needed to go on client’s sites and be able to work on your own initiative.

As a Senior Engineer some of your daily duties might include:

• Providing first, second- and third-line technical support.

• Installing and configuring new hardware and software and other routine maintenance tasks

• Managing the clients computer systems and providing general infrastructure support

Requirements

• Must come from a Managed Service Provider (MSP) background

• Proven work experience as a Technical Account Manager or Technical Senior Engineer from an IT background

• Solid technical background with hands on experience in a broad range of technologies

• Background of providing IT telephone/remote and in-person support using Service Desk methodology and software.

• Variety of vendor experience

• An ability to gasp customers’ needs and suggest timely solutions

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Customer success mentality

• Although this role is largely working from home, due to some travel requirements of this position, a full clean driving licence is required. An extended DBS Security check may be required for attendance at a number of client’s sites e.g., schools, academies etc
