Enforcement Manager

Salary: £28.84 – £36 per hour

To manage, develop and lead the Council’s Streetscene Enforcement team in accordance with policy and procedure, and to assist the departmental head in the delivery of the corporate plan.

To ensure all elements of the Council’s car parking service are delivered efficiently, with transparency and equity.

To ensure that staff engaged in the duty present a professional image that engenders public confidence.

To manage the team’s customer response in relation to general parking enquiries, ensuring that officers respond in a courteous, knowledgeable and accurate manner.

To ensure that all staff receive training in the terms of the car park order, and that they are regularly briefed on any changes or amendments.

To deal with complaints from the public regarding the conduct of officers, and conversely to champion their good practice and achievements.

To task personnel appropriately to ensure that the Borough’s car parks are patrolled regularly and according to their significance.

To keep the public parking information pages on the Council’s web site up to date, and to use social media/the press to communicate newsworthy issues to the public. For instance additional parking venues or alternative parking at events.

To set up temporary parking and/or, park and ride schemes at events, ensuring signage, equipment and staffing is in place, and cash is handled, accounted for and stored correctly.
