Director of Finance & Operations

Salary: £78,000 – £84,000 per year

As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be the school’s leading support staff professional overseeing all aspects of Finance, HR, IT, Estates, Administration & Catering.

Blenheim has been under new leadership since April 2017, led by an aspirational and innovative Head Teacher. The school became Surrey’s most improved secondary school in the 2017-18 Academic year and most improved school for the number of preference for Year 7 applications received for September 2021.

The role:

To be responsible for the strategic leadership & management of all operational aspects of finance related business of the school, with a budget in excess of £9 million.

Manage the day-to-day operations and support services of the School.

To provide high quality, value for money services contributing to quality teaching and learning for its students.

To work in partnership and transparency with the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body.

The ideal candidate:

Will hold a full accounting qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA

Experience of working within an Academy or Multi Academy Trust Senior Finance role.

Proven experience of successful business and financial leadership.

A strong track record in leading, inspiring and managing a diverse range of support.

Is commercially aware coupled with creative thinking and solutions focused.

Possesses integrity and gravitas with the ability to relate effectively to a wide range of stakeholders across the school.
